Job Summary of Class C Freight Driver:

The task of delivering premium food products accurately and punctually to customers is a central function performed by The Chefs’ Warehouse. This role necessitates excellent organizational skills, a clean driving record, and the ability to manage the physical duties linked to loading and unloading deliveries.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Class C Freight Driver:

• Confirm that the available stock aligns with the required delivery quantities.
• Ensure on-time deliveries by utilizing maps or GPS to navigate designated routes.
• Transfer and organize items from the storage location into the transport van.
• Ensure that goods reach designated destinations promptly and accurately.
• Authenticate the receipt of deliveries by obtaining signatures or processing payments where applicable.
• Regularly check in with the warehouse to stay informed about the status of deliveries.
• Ensure all paperwork pertaining to deliveries is in order and submitted before leaving for the day.
• It is imperative to communicate any vehicle-related problems or incidents to supervisors.
• Ensure adherence to traffic laws and safety measures established by the organization.

Qualifications and Experience of Class C Freight Driver:

• Possession of a high school diploma or GED is a must.
• It is required to have a driver’s license that is valid and a driving record that is clean.
• Fulfilling the expectations of a DOT physical examination is imperative.
• Expertise in driving and maneuvering oversized vehicles into designated parking spots.
• Competent in lifting and carrying weights of 25 lbs. with ease.
• Competence in using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts is a favorable skill set.
• Demonstrating strong customer service acumen, time management skills, and organizational capabilities.

Salary:
