Job Summary of CDL C Package Driver:

The precise and timely delivery of premium food items to customers is a fundamental role carried out by The Chefs’ Warehouse. To excel in this capacity, individuals need to demonstrate strong organizational skills, a clean driving record, and the capability to handle the physical tasks involved in loading and unloading shipments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of CDL C Package Driver:

• Check to see that the inventory levels meet the necessary delivery specifications.
• Stay on schedule by following delivery routes accurately with the assistance of maps or GPS technology.
• Load and manage product inventory from the warehouse into the delivery vehicle.
• Guarantee accurate and timely deliveries to assigned locations.
• Verify that deliveries have been successfully received by obtaining signatures or settling payments as needed.
• Maintain an open line of communication with the warehouse to track the progress of deliveries.
• It is important to complete the organization and submission of all delivery paperwork at the end of each shift.
• Make sure supervisors are made aware of any vehicle issues or incidents promptly.
• Follow company safety regulations and traffic laws diligently.

Qualifications and Experience of CDL C Package Driver:

• Meeting the educational criteria involves having a high school diploma or GED.
• A clean driving history and possessing a valid driver’s license are both necessary.
• Successfully clearing a DOT physical examination is a crucial obligation.
• Skillful navigation and parking of large vehicles in different environments.
• Proficient in comfortably managing items weighing 25 lbs.
• Experience with hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts is seen as a valuable background.
• Proficient in customer service excellence, time management practices, and organizational competencies.
